This article goes through the steps to connect ALGOGENE with your HyperLiquid trading account (either testnet or real trading account). The overall workflow is summarized in this diagram.

Who is HyperLiquid?

Client Onboarding on HyperLiquid

At Hyperliquid, onboarding is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, reflecting the platform's commitment to decentralization. As a decentralized exchange, Hyperliquid ensures that all users remain anonymous, eliminating the need for traditional Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.

To create an account, you can simply log in using your email address or connect directly through your crypto wallet. Options include various wallet providers such as WalletConnect, OKX Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet, making it easy for users to get started. This streamlined onboarding process allows traders to dive into the world of decentralized finance without unnecessary hurdles, empowering them to engage in trading with ease and privacy.

• Go to HyperLiquid website
• Click "Connect" on the top right corner


• Choose email or crypto wallet depending on your preference

Create API Wallet

API wallets (also known as agent wallets) can perform trading actions without having withdrawal permissions. You will need to deposit at least 5 USDC to you account before enabling API wallet.

• Go to "More" > "API"


• Click "Generate"

Get Trading Account Connection Info

• After "Generate", get the following info:
  • API Wallet Address
  • Private Key or API Secret Key


• Also, get your account address from the dropdown of the top right corner.

Config on ALGOGENE

• Login ALGOGENE portal
• Go to 'Settings' -> 'Trade Account'
• Select an ALGOGENE live-test or real-trade account depending on your case


• Choose "HyperLiquid" in broker dropdown
• Update the connection settings as follows:
• "API Key" -> Your API Wallet Address
• "Account No." -> Your Account Wallet Address
• "Password" -> Your API Secret

Deploy Algo

After successful connection from above, you are now ready to deploy and trade an Algo with HyperLiquid.

1. Deploy from a DIY script

• Under ALGOGENE 'settings', choose your HyperLiquid linked account


• deploy any one of your backtested script

2. Deploy from algo marketplace subscription

• Explore available trading bots from ALGOGENE Marketplace
• Choose a desired trading bot, click "SUBSCRIBE"
• Select your desired "Run Mode" and "Account", then click "SUBMIT"


• Go to [Setting] > [Algo Market] > [My Subscribed Algo Strategy], you should see your subscribed Algo is active in trading for you. You have the feasibility to "Stop copy trade" and "Start copy trade" at any time.
